This community is dedicated to image macros featuring the Royal Navy of the Caribbean and the East India Trading Company from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. If you enjoy poking fun at our beloved Navy Boys and their "friends," the East India Trading Co., then by all means join us!

This community is for posting image macros. This does include icons and fanart that has been modified into an image macro. It does not include fanfiction, drabbles, FSTs, essays, etc. If you have any questions about what an image macro is, I've included the definition in the link above. We are going by a more loose definition--images with the Royal Navy and/or the East India Trading company and text are fine, they don't have to neccesarily be thread-bombs, etc. If you are looking for communities where you can share other fanworks and your love/worship of the Navy Boys, Norrington, Beckett, etc, please see our affiliates for links to some great comms. :)

[1] Keep the humor appropriate.
No macros that would be considered derogatory to someone's race, religion, sexual orientation, or political affiliation. If in doubt, think, "What Would James (Norrington) Do?" We want to keep this community light-hearted and fun.

[2] Spoiler/NSFW Warnings are Required.
If you are posting something that would be considered a spoiler, it must be labeled as a spoiler and hidden behind a Live Journal cut. Likewise, if something is not safe for work (NSFW. NWS), it must also be labeled and hidden. What is NSFW can sometimes be subject to opinion; generally things of a sexual, violent or generally offensive nature are considered NSFW. Please err on the side of caution. If you post NSFW content without a warning and cut, your post will be deleted immediately. A second offense will result in your being removed from the community post-haste. People can lose their jobs over stray images and we would rather this community not be a contributor in such an incident.

[3] Use Live Journal cuts.
This goes for large and/or spoiler-y images, icon posts featuring more than 4 icons or which contain spoilers. Use your judgment and be respectful of a person's screen real-estate.

[4] No flaming.
Everyone has something they'd like to contribute but are afraid to because, well, the internet can be an unfriendly place. Please offer constructive criticism only, and try to keep things positive. Again, when in doubt, ask yourself, "What Would James Do?"

[5] Give credit where credit is due.
If the image isn't yours, you must credit its source. If the source is "unknown," you must specify so the author doesn't think you are trying to "steal" their work.

[6] Have fun!

*Please use the community tags and subject lines whenever possible to help keep our community organized.*

Thank you. :)
